More than any other make, I have
been associated with Chevrolet when it comes to
general transportation. From my mother's used
1952 Chevrolet to my used 1965 Corvair, purchased
when I got out of the Army, my path has been laden
with Chevys. For some reason neighbors and relatives
also predominantly had Chevrolets. While in the
petroleum industry, almost invariably, company
cars were Chevrolets.
All during those Chevrolet years I pretty much
took those cars for granted. I liked sports cars,
antiques and classics. Chevrolets were just those
dependable and affordable cars that I drove. They
were just that, but they could have been so much
more - Corvette, Camaro and all the high performance
variations of Chevy II, Impala, El Camino, Chevelle,
etc. And how about some of the most popular years
- the 1955, 1956 and 1957 models?
