Annual Concepts
By Rob McLellan

Auto shows throughout the world have but one mission — to put you behind the steering wheel of a new car. If you are not buying a car today they want to "psyche" you up to buy one soon. The concept car you are looking at today may represent the car you will drive home tomorrow and each company wants you to react positively to them so you will know where to shop.

Every year General Motors, Ford Motor Company and Chrysler Corporation, along with many other manufacturers, have been hosting special concept press conferences at the Detroit Auto Show. Their press kits are loaded with photographs (glossy prints, slides, CD-ROMS or photos printed in the text), along with detailed descriptions on their future product. In February we will introduce you to all the concept cars which are at the 2004 Detroit International Auto Show and the press materials and brochures that accompany them.
